Conference on “Application of FRP Composites in Construction and Rehabilitation of Structures”

 The Building and Housing Research Center of Ministry of Housing and Urban Development intends to hold Seminar on “Application of FRP Composites in Construction and Rehabilitation of Structures” on May 4, 2004 to pave the ground for exchange of information among specialists and for further familiarity of the engineering society of the country with technical specifications of fiber-reinforced polymers. 

Subjects:

·        Properties of FRP composites
·        Strengthening and seismic retrofitting of structural components by FRP composites

·        Using FRP rods in reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete

·        Durability and performance of FRP composites against environmental agents

·        Case studies and field applications of FRP composites in civil engineering (buildings, bridges, concrete reservoirs, silos, marine structures, railway traverses, …)

·        Analytical modeling

·        Design criteria and guidelines

·        Inspection and quality assurance

·        Rehabilitation by FRP composites in comparison with other methods

-         Concurrent with the seminar there will be an exposition of products and achievements of the manufacturing organizations and companies. Those interested in participation in the exhibition can contact secretariat of the seminar.
